Personal Biometric Information Protection Rules
It is recommended that you read the Rules carefully and fully understand the terms and conditions before using any product or service. By clicking “Agree” and using a product or service offered by Tiger, you agree that Tiger will process your personal biometric information in accordance with the Rules. If you do not agree with the Rules, you will not be able to use any service that requires biometric information.
2.1 Personal Biometric Information: Information such as fingerprints or facial features that can be used to distinguish between individual.
2.2 Biometric Authentication: The identity authentication function provided by Tiger under this Agreement based on biometric features information.
2.3 Biometric Authentication Transaction:
You can confirm your identity through Biometric Authentication stored on your mobile device and make the corresponding transactions or give other instructions to Tiger in your subsequent transactions or instructions to Tiger after you enable the biometric authentication transaction function.
- Face recognition services provided by third-party SDK
3.1 The face recognition services that Tiger provides confirm your identity by comparing your facial recognition information and combining your identity information. The facial recognition service for opening your personal securities accounts is provided by Beijing Kuangshi Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Face++").
3.2 You agree to use the facial recognition service only with your own facial information based on your real name account.
3.4 You agree to permit Tiger to store your face image for the purpose of regulatory inspection and fulfilling its anti-money laundering obligations in a secure and encrypted manner. Tiger will store your facial image separately from your identity information.
3.5 In order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of you or others, Tiger may suspend the provision of facial recognition services at our absolute discretion to you if we deem this service is no longer suitable.
- Verification services for Biometric Authentication transaction on mobile devices
4.1 In order to use the transaction verification service under this Agreement, you are required to enable the biometric sensors on your mobile device and record at least one of your biometric information on your mobile device.
4.2 Your biometric information is stored by the mobile device and its system that you used to provide it. You agree that Tiger will use your biometric information obtained from your mobile device for transaction verification purposes and other functions which Tiger may adapt from time to time.
4.3 Tiger reminds you to choose a secure and reliable mobile phone or other devices. If you are concerned about using Biometric Authentication on your phone or other device, Tiger recommends you to use a password or other alternative verification method.
- Rights and obligations of the parties
5.1 You must fully understand that you are able to place orders or give other instructions to Tiger using biometric authentication before you enable this service.
5.2 The Biometric Authentication function is initially set to a disabled status by default in order to protect the security of your account and property.
5.3 The Biometric Authentication Transaction function will only be enabled after you log in to your account in the Tiger Trade App and manually enable and configure it.
5.4 You have the right and responsibility for determining, at your own prudent discretion, whether to enable the Biometric Authentication Transaction function to enjoy its convenience whereby you acknowledge that you assume all its risks.
5.5 If you subsequently want to disable or re-enable the Biometric Authentication Transaction function, Tiger will also require you to enter relevant information for verification.
5.6 In addition, Tiger reserves the right to increase or adjust the frequency, logic and elements of verification from time to time without notice to you in order to protect your account and property.
5.7 Your instructions to Tiger via the Biometric Authentication Transaction function after enabling the function will be irrevocable (except as otherwise agreed in the Agreement or otherwise permitted by Tiger) and may be relied upon as valid by Tiger to execute your transaction or other instructions. Biometric Authentication Transaction function may replace the use of any transaction password until you disable the Biometric Authentication Transaction function.
5.8 You should take care to keep your mobile device secure and prevent others from entering their biometrics on your mobile device. If you suffer a loss as a result of the use of a Biometric Authentication Transactions function , you will be fully responsible for any loss, damage or other consequence caused by Tiger's execution of any instruction given through the biometric transaction function of your account to Tiger. All orders/instructions made by your account through the biometric trading function will be binding and deem to be made and authorized by you.
5.9 You must take all necessary security protections and precautions to protect the Biometric Authentication services and the Biometric Authentication Transactions function against unauthorized, fraudulent or other illegal purposes.
5.10 You must notify Tiger as soon as practicable if you are aware or suspect that your mobile device is being used for Biometric Authentication without your authorization.
6.1 In order to further improve user experience, this rule may be updated without any notice along with any other service/product upgrade. If the update involves your primary rights or responsibilities, Tiger will try our best endeavor to notify you by email, website posting or system message.
6.2 If you do not agree to any update of this Rules, you have the right to stop using the services provided by Tiger. You are deem to accept and agreed to the most updated and modified terms of this Rules if you continue to use the service.
