Corporate Sector Drives Weekly Euro Bond Sales to €26.7 Billion, Led by Honda's Debut Issue

Market data indicates that the corporate sector led bond sales this week, with total issuance across the market reaching €26.7 billion, spearheaded by the inaugural euro bond from Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

For the eighth time this year, corporate issuers have dominated the weekly sales market, with issuance volume peaking on Tuesday.

Year-to-date transaction volume stands at €1,370.39 billion, which is 6.2% higher than the projected €1,291.22 billion for the same period in 2025.

In the week ending July 2, a total of 45 new public bond offerings were sold, with pricing and spread information disclosed for 43 of them.

According to data from pricing agency BVAL, released at 12:35 PM London time on July 3rd, among the 40 investment-grade bonds with published pricing, 33 (82.5%) were quoted at or below their issue spread.

Of the 3 high-yield bond tranches with published pricing, 1 (33.3%) was quoted at or below its issue spread.
