The meeting noted that artificial intelligence is a key variable affecting future development, and that it is necessary to proceed from China's realities of a complete industrial system, rich application scenarios, and strong engineering capabilities, focus on using implementation and application to drive technological innovation, and continuously deepen and expand the "AI Plus" initiative. It is necessary to consolidate the development foundation, strengthen technological research and algorithm innovation, promote the coordination of computing and electricity, increase the supply of high-quality data, and work to shore up weaknesses and strengthen strengths. It is necessary to highlight enabling applications, focus on the real economy to strengthen the connection between supply and demand, encourage joint research and development, advance pilot testing, increase efforts to cultivate scenarios, and enable artificial intelligence technology to be better transformed into real productivity. It is necessary to coordinate development and security, adopt differentiated and classified policies by industry, strengthen risk assessment and evaluation, and firmly uphold the bottom line of artificial intelligence security.

The meeting discussed and approved in principle the draft amendment to the Teachers Law of the People's Republic of China, and decided to submit the draft to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation. The meeting noted that teachers are the foundation of education and the source of its prosperity, and that it is necessary to effectively strengthen guarantees for teachers' treatment and rights, reduce the burden of non-teaching tasks on teachers, strengthen social public services for teachers, and safeguard teachers' professional dignity and lawful rights and interests. It is necessary to cultivate a high-quality and professional teaching force, improve the teacher education system, enhance teaching and educating capabilities, strengthen teacher ethics and conduct, and create a good atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education throughout society.

The meeting discussed and approved in principle the draft amendment to the Price Law of the People's Republic of China, and decided to submit the draft to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation. The meeting noted that this amendment adapts to new situations and new changes, further improves the price governance mechanism, refines government pricing procedures, and clarifies the criteria for determining improper price behavior and related legal liabilities. It is necessary to govern low-price disorderly competition in accordance with laws and regulations, improve supporting rules such as industry cost investigations and the prohibition of low-price dumping, and strengthen price law enforcement and supervision. It is necessary to continuously regulate price competition behavior in the platform economy, guide enterprises to continuously improve the value of their products and services, and create a fair and orderly market environment.

The meeting decided to amend certain provisions of 14 administrative regulations, including the Regulations for the Implementation of the Archives Law of the People's Republic of China, and to repeal 4 administrative regulations, including the Provisions on Limits of Liability for Maritime Carriage of Passengers Between Ports of the People's Republic of China. The meeting also studied other matters.
