Gansu Civil Aviation Logistics has intensified operations on several cargo routes. Seizing the traditional peak season for air cargo just before the Spring Festival, Gansu Province Civil Aviation Logistics Company has increased flight frequencies on multiple cargo routes, continuously optimizing and improving its cargo route network structure and enhancing the province's air cargo channel transportation capacity.

On December 24, the provincial Civil Aviation Logistics Company, in partnership with JD Airlines, inaugurated a new domestic cargo route connecting Lanzhou and Wuhan for the first time, with an expected 23 flights scheduled. Subsequently, the company will launch a "Lanzhou=Wuhu" all-cargo flight route, planned to commence on January 20, 2026, with an estimated 22 flights. The cargo composition will primarily feature specialty products like beef and mutton entering the Gansu region, along with express parcels and daily necessities. In the future, products from Gansu's six major characteristic industries—"cattle, sheep, vegetables, fruits, potatoes, and medicinal herbs"—will access the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River with better cost efficiency, faster speed, and larger scale. This will provide local enterprises with broader market space and more convenient logistics services, further promoting regional economic exchange and cooperation.

Simultaneously, based on increasing frequencies and adding extra flights to the existing "Lanzhou=Nanjing" and "Lanzhou=Ezhou" all-cargo routes, the provincial Civil Aviation Logistics Company plans to collaborate with SF Airlines to intensify operations and open several domestic temporary cargo routes to destinations including Beijing Daxing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou. By then, the daily capacity will support 6-8 all-cargo flights. Combined with the belly-hold capacity of passenger aircraft, the average daily inbound and outbound cargo volume is expected to exceed 600 tons, setting a new historical record.

An "Air Corridor" Bridges the Gap for Fresh Flavors. JD LOGISTICS has launched a Lanzhou=Wuhan beef and mutton all-cargo flight route. This winter, dining tables in Central China are welcoming fresher Northwestern flavors that arrive faster! Fresh lamb produced in Minqin, Gansu, can now travel thousands of miles overnight, arriving on the tables of Wuhan diners by the next morning. This remarkable freshness over long distances stems from the "air corridor" established by JD LOGISTICS—the Lanzhou=Wuhan all-cargo flight route.

On December 24, JD LOGISTICS officially inaugurated the Lanzhou=Wuhan beef and mutton all-cargo flight route. This route is operated by a JD Airlines B738 freighter aircraft, with a full load capacity of 18 tons. Leveraging the end-to-end empowerment of JD LOGISTICS' super supply chain, it creates a direct channel connecting the pastoral hinterlands of the Northwest with major consumption hubs in Central China. This will significantly enhance the cross-regional transport efficiency of beef and mutton from Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, and other areas, ensuring that regional delicacies consolidated at the Lanzhou hub reach consumers nationwide faster and fresher, thereby solidifying logistics support for the upcoming New Year shopping festival peak consumption season.

A relevant business manager from JD LOGISTICS stated that after the launch of this route, and with the comprehensive support from JD LOGISTICS in areas like air transport capacity, high-quality beef and mutton from Gansu, Qinghai, and Ningxia can achieve next-morning delivery in core cities across multiple provinces including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Sichuan, and Hubei. This effectively addresses industry pain points such as the difficulty of getting products out of Northwestern pastoral areas and maintaining freshness. It not only helps local breeders and merchants precisely capture sales opportunities during the New Year shopping festival and Spring Festival peak seasons but also allows more consumers to savor the fresh delicacies from the great Northwest.

It is worth noting that the launch of this all-cargo route is one of JD LOGISTICS' core measures to ensure Northwest beef and mutton supply. It represents not just a standalone upgrade in transport capacity but is backed by the full-chain support of a super supply chain system. In recent years, JD LOGISTICS has continuously focused on the Northwest beef and mutton industry, introducing a "logistics + commerce" dual-drive safeguard solution. Through the deep integration of an "air + high-speed rail + road refrigerated transport" multi-modal transportation network with a nationwide cold chain warehouse network, it has built an end-to-end service system from production origin to dining table. The upgrade via this all-cargo route further refines JD LOGISTICS' multi-dimensional transport matrix, combining with previously deployed services like dedicated collection teams, smart warehousing, and forward distribution centers to significantly enhance the transport timeliness for Northwest beef and mutton.

Since the beginning of this year, JD LOGISTICS has established multiple dedicated beef and mutton transport channels in production areas across the Northwest, including Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia. Moving forward, it will continue to leverage the core advantages of its super supply chain, increasing investment in aviation resources and warehouse network layout. Through multiple measures such as transport capacity upgrades, technological empowerment, and commerce-logistics integration, JD LOGISTICS aims to both empower the beef and mutton industry upgrades in Northwestern production bases like Lanzhou and enable consumers in Central Chinese cities like Wuhan to consistently enjoy fresher, faster Northwestern delicacies, perfectly blending the pastoral flavors from thousands of miles away with the vibrancy of city life.
