A recent launch marks a pivotal advancement for natural resources satellite remote sensing applications. The Sichuan provincial satellite, named "Chuanzi-1," was successfully sent into orbit aboard a Gravity-1 rocket, entering its designated flight path and signifying a critical milestone for the region.

The Chuanzi-1 satellite is a high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite, co-named by the Sichuan Academy of Land Science and Technology (Sichuan Satellite Application Technology Center) and Huantian Zhihui Technology Co., Ltd. Deployed in a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 535 kilometers, it boasts a ground pixel resolution of 0.5 meters. The satellite is equipped with stereo imaging capabilities and features high pointing accuracy, stability, and rapid maneuverability.

This technology can be widely applied in fields such as territorial space planning, disaster prevention and control for geological hazards, cropland protection, and supervision and enforcement of natural resources management. It provides robust satellite remote sensing data to support the monitoring of natural resources. Following its successful launch, the Chuanzi-1 will operate in a constellation network with Huantian Zhihui's satellites, effectively expanding the channels for acquiring remote sensing imagery. This will establish a coordinated observation capability combining optical and radar sensors, enabling all-weather, round-the-clock, high-precision monitoring.

The satellite will provide a stable, high-quality remote sensing imagery baseline for the digital transformation of Sichuan's government services. In the future, the Sichuan Satellite Application Technology Center will continue to strengthen technological innovation and satellite application capabilities. It will improve the province's unified image management and data sharing mechanisms, actively building an integrated "air-space-ground" monitoring system. This approach aims to leverage satellite remote sensing to enhance the precision and digital intelligence management of natural resources across the province.
