The regional people's government of Xinjiang has recently issued a notice (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") to adjust the region's minimum wage standards. The new minimum wage rates will take effect on October 1, 2026.

Following this adjustment, the three tiers for the monthly minimum wage of full-time workers will be set at 2,270 yuan, 2,080 yuan, and 1,930 yuan. For part-time workers, the three tiers of hourly minimum wage will be 22.7 yuan, 20.8 yuan, and 19.3 yuan, respectively.

The minimum wage standard includes the personal contributions of employees to pension, unemployment, medical insurance, and housing provident fund. However, it does not include overtime pay; allowances for special working conditions or environments, such as shift work, night shifts, high temperatures, low temperatures, underground work, or exposure to toxic or harmful substances; nor other welfare benefits for workers as stipulated by laws, regulations, and national provisions.

The Notice mandates that human resources and social security departments at all levels enhance their supervision and inspection of the implementation of the adjusted minimum wage standards. They must firmly correct any violations of minimum wage regulations by employers and handle them in accordance with the law.
