At the 2026 Boao Real Estate Forum's Industry Technology Conference, Luo Feng, General Manager Assistant and President of the Industrial Research Institute at China Merchants Shekou's Industrial Park division, delivered a keynote speech titled "Uniting Low-Altitude, Integrating Ecosystems."

Luo Feng stated that the low-altitude economy has evolved from a new growth engine into a key emerging pillar industry. Since being designated as a nationally prioritized sector in 2023, the industry has maintained a rapid expansion pace. Projections indicate that by 2035, the sector's total scale could reach 3.5 trillion yuan.

He noted that the current development of the low-altitude economy still faces phased challenges in areas such as safety control, core technologies, and airspace management. This trajectory mirrors the early development path of the new energy vehicle industry, which also encountered controversy and bottlenecks during its initial stages. However, these short-term growing pains will not alter the long-term upward trend driven by supportive industrial policies, expanding application scenarios, and continuous technological innovation. As a crucial arena for new quality productive forces, the low-altitude economy demonstrates a clear path toward long-term, high-quality development.
