Mixed Start for Domestic Futures as SC Crude Surges Over 7% at Market Open

At the opening bell on September 10, 2026, domestic commodity futures presented a mixed picture, with a notable surge in energy products while some industrial materials faced downward pressure.

Leading the gains, SC crude oil climbed more than 7%, supported by strong market sentiment. Following closely, styrene (EB) and pure benzene advanced over 5%, while fuel oil and propylene gained more than 4%. Additionally, ethylene glycol (EG) rose nearly 4%, with asphalt and polypropylene monthly average price also edging up close to 3%.

On the downside, coke fell over 2%, and coking coal dropped nearly 2%. Meanwhile, ferrosilicon, glass, palm oil, and rapeseed oil each lost more than 1%, reflecting a subdued tone across some bulk commodities.
