Rescue and disaster relief operations are still underway in Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province, following a debris flow triggered by continuous heavy rainfall from Typhoon Shadel. The geological disaster struck the Shixia Group of Mingkeng Village, Gaoping Town, on September 5, and as of 6 PM on September 7, some initial progress has been made in restoring the county's "four connections" — roads, electricity, water supply, and communication networks.

Road restoration efforts have cleared 230 landslides on national and provincial highways, leaving only one stretch on the S546 Yingpanwei section still under repair. For county-level roads and below, 1,601 affected spots have been identified, with 424 involving county roads itself; the only remaining unopened section is the X051 Hezuo Line between Huangjin Village and Yangxi Village.

Rehabilitation of rural utility and infrastructure services has resumed progressively across the county. Out of a total of 297 administrative villages, roads have been restored in 286, representing 96.12%, with the remaining 12 currently being worked on. Communication networks have reached 287 villages, or 92.88%, leaving 22 still without service. Power supply has been reinstated in 280 villages, accounting for 90.61%, while 29 remain offline. Access to clean water has been re-established in 254 villages, covering 82.2% of the total, with 55 villages still pending restoration.

As these efforts move forward, the overall rescue and disaster response operations in the county continue to progress.
