Xinjiang's 3.2GWh Changji State-Owned Investment Energy Storage Equipment Procurement Halted

Procurement for energy storage system equipment across four shared energy storage projects in Xinjiang, with a total capacity of 800MW/3200MWh, has been terminated. The termination was announced on March 19 by the Xinjiang Changji State-Owned Investment group. The公告 stated that all four projects are being halted due to adjustments in the tender plans. The initial tender for the equipment procurement was released on February 10 by Changji Guotou Xin Energy Development Co., Ltd. All projects are located within the Xinjiang region. The specific projects include: - The Changji Guotou Mulei County 300MW/1200MWh Shared Energy Storage Project, located in Mulei County. - The Changji Guotou Hutubi County 200MW/800MWh Shared Energy Storage Project, located in Hutubi County. - The Changji Guotou Qitai County 200MW/800MWh Shared Energy Storage Project, located in Qitai County. - The Changji Guotou Jimsar County Panjiatai 100MW/400MWh Shared Energy Storage Project, located in Jimsar County.

The scope of the tender included the supply of complete equipment such as energy storage battery containers (utilizing lithium iron phosphate batteries), battery management systems (BMS), power conversion systems (PCS), energy management systems (EMS), along with配套 fire suppression systems, power cables, and communication cables. It also covered the provision of specialized tools and spare parts, design, manufacturing, documentation, factory testing, packaging, shipping, on-site delivery, installation guidance, commissioning, assistance with acceptance, responsibility for grid-connection tests up to full capacity, and the provision of related technical services and warranty support.

The bidder qualification requirements specified that the battery cell technology must reference or be equivalent to products from leading manufacturers such as CATL, Hithium, EVE Energy, CALB, BYD, REPT Battero, Gotion High-tech, Envision AESC, Penghui Energy, and Sunwoda.
