According to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, data on the scale of foreign exchange reserves at the end of September 2026 was released on October 7.

Statistics show that as of the end of September 2026, China's foreign exchange reserves stood at 3.4003 trillion USD, a decrease of 38.1 billion USD compared with the end of August, a decline of 1.11%.

In September 2026, influenced by factors such as the global macroeconomic environment and monetary policies of major economies, the US dollar index rose, and prices of major global financial assets generally declined.

Due to the combined effects of exchange rate conversion and changes in asset prices, the scale of foreign exchange reserves declined that month.

China's economy has been operating generally smoothly, with new growth drivers and an improving structure, and new progress has been made in high-quality development, which is conducive to maintaining the basic stability of the scale of foreign exchange reserves.
