On November 5, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, bringing exhibitors together once again to share in China's opportunities. As a "regular participant" of the CIIE, Bayer this year centered its exhibition around its corporate mission of "Health for All, Hunger for None," showcasing 26 featured products and solutions across its 800-square-meter dual booths. Bill Anderson, Chairman of the Board of Management of Bayer AG, stated that the CIIE is a landmark event demonstrating China's commitment to promoting global trade, with its influence growing year by year. It provides an exciting platform for companies worldwide to showcase innovations, engage with Chinese consumers and partners across industries, and embrace China's development opportunities. Anderson emphasized that China remains one of Bayer's most critical strategic pillars, both in terms of innovation and market potential. Bayer remains steadfast in its investments in China, continuously increasing efforts in innovation and collaboration, with numerous new projects launched just in the past year. "We are optimistic about future opportunities and will continue fulfilling our mission to contribute positively to China's economy," he added.

Emerson China President Wang Yifeng noted that the CIIE serves as a vital window for sharing China's opportunities and a key platform for Emerson to connect global resources with its local strategy. Since 2018, Emerson has participated in the CIIE annually, unlocking new collaborative opportunities with China's market and industry clients. In 2020, Emerson joined the CIIE Exhibitor Alliance's Industrial Digital Transformation Committee. "We look forward to working with other members to provide sustained support for the digital transformation of China's manufacturing sector," Wang said.

Nippon Paint China CEO Zhong Zhonglin shared that since its debut at last year's CIIE, the company has gained deeper insights into the vast opportunities and prospects of the Chinese market. The tangible "dividends" from the CIIE have exceeded expectations. For instance, Nippon Paint's bio-inhibitor-free marine antifouling coating, first exhibited in China at last year's CIIE, was applied at Zhoushan Port in July this year. Additionally, the world-premiered photocatalytic coating showcased last year is now in production line construction at Nippon Paint's Guangzhou plant. The company also signed over ten agreements during last year's expo, with collaborations already materializing in policy housing and commercial-residential projects in areas like Pudong's Gaohang and Lingang. "China is undoubtedly the most important and opportunity-rich market globally. With over three decades in China, foreign enterprises like ours are witnessing growing prospects. We see immense 'innovation dividends' here, as advancements in new energy, AI, and low-altitude economy turn China into a global testing ground for innovation," Zhong remarked. Moving forward, Nippon Paint will leverage the CIIE to introduce more pioneering products embodying new productive forces.

3M China President Ding Hongyu highlighted the expo's role as a crucial platform for showcasing innovations and deepening local collaborations. "Over eight years of participation, we've stayed in sync with China's market, integrating cutting-edge technologies with local needs. This year, we're presenting multi-scenario solutions spanning industrial manufacturing to daily consumption. Through strategic partnerships and sustained investments, 3M reaffirms its commitment to 'Rooted in China, Serving China,' delivering agile localized responses," Ding stated.

Varian Medical Systems Greater China President Qian Shenglai expressed that as a "regular participant," the company has once again witnessed China's unwavering commitment to high-level openness. "The CIIE is not just a window to China's openness but also a pivotal platform for Varian to collaborate with local users and partners in advancing the industry. We anticipate in-depth exchanges at the expo to accelerate the localization of innovations, benefiting more patients," he said.

Siemens Healthineers Greater China President and Global Leadership Committee member Wang Hao reiterated the company's eight-year CIIE journey as reinforcing its resolve to grow alongside China's market. "We remain committed to walking hand-in-hand with China, confident in the expansive future of its healthcare sector, and will continue active participation in the CIIE to deepen collaborations," Wang concluded.
