The U.S. major indexes closed as follows: Dow Jones down 0.38% at 51,786.72; S&P 500 up 0.36% at 7,568.92; NASDAQ up 0.83% at 25,372.01. The session finished mixed, with the NASDAQ and S&P 500 extending gains while the Dow Jones slipped. The broad tone still favored growth and technology shares, even as industrial and defensive areas lagged.

Unusual-move stocks were led by sharp gains in several chip and AI-related names, while a few high-volatility issues saw steep declines. Among the notable gainers, SanDisk Corp. rose 4.78% at $1,126.52, Advanced Micro Devices gained 3.65% at $483.90, NVIDIA added 2.29% at $206.69, Micron Technology advanced 2.58% at $855.10, and Oracle climbed 5.85% at $126.19.

Outside semis, Bloom Energy Corp jumped 9.05% at $214.01, NEBIUS rose 7.25% at $151.64, and Circle Internet Corp. increased 4.36% at $75.22.

On the downside, Apple fell 1.90% at $331.90, Palantir declined 1.65% at $175.40, and Tesla Motors fell 1.32% at $398.50.

In other active U.S.-listed names, several smaller stocks posted outsized moves, but the market remained highly selective. Chanson International Holding surged 241.24% at $3.38, Infobird Co., Ltd rose 38.83% at $1.43, Freight Technologies, Inc. gained 25.72% at $1.05, Jin Medical International Ltd. advanced 23.64% at $2.72, and Ambow Education Holding climbed 18.52% at $1.60.

Among the decliners, EZGO Technologies fell 30.54% at $0.55, Beyondspring Inc declined 22.94% at $0.62, Reto Eco-solutions Inc. fell 20.67% at $3.30, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. declined 20.63% at $1.50.

The mix suggests traders continued to favor stocks tied to AI infrastructure and a few speculative turnaround stories while punishing weaker balance-sheet or momentum names.
