SMOORE INTL (06969) rose more than 5%. As of press time, the stock was up 5.42% to HK$10.69, with a turnover of HK$58.23 million. On the news front, a research report from Cinda Securities noted that following the U.S. FDA's first-ever approval of flavored e-cigarettes through the PMTA process last week, the agency issued guidance this weekend on enforcement priorities for unauthorized ENDS and nicotine pouch products, reiterating that all products without PMTA authorization are illegal. The FDA also announced it would establish a webpage listing manufacturers and their products that meet the criteria for non-priority enforcement. Cinda Securities stated that after the U.S. government restricted vaping products to only tobacco and menthol flavors, leading compliant companies promptly removed flavored products from the market. It is anticipated that these leading compliant brands have been continuously submitting PMTA applications for flavored products in recent years, which have not yet been approved. This policy adjustment effectively allows leading companies to directly enter and participate in the flavored product market. The report expects that, leveraging advantages such as strong distribution channels and product offerings, the market share of compliant industry leaders is likely to accelerate, with core suppliers standing to benefit substantially. It is further anticipated that subsequent FDA regulatory efforts will increasingly focus on stringent crackdowns on illegal products while easing restrictions on compliant flavored offerings.
