Bank of China Announces USD 40.00 Billion Medium-Term Note Programme; HKEX Listing Expected on 28 April 2026

Bank of China Limited (Bank of China) has submitted an application to list a USD 40.00 billion Medium Term Note Programme on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX).

Under the programme, debt securities may be issued to professional investors, as defined by Chapter 37 of the HKEX Listing Rules, during the 12-month period following 27 April 2026. The listing is scheduled to take effect on 28 April 2026. Bank of China serves as both arranger and dealer for the issuance.

The initiative provides the bank with a flexible framework to access international capital markets through multiple tranches and currencies, subject to market conditions and investor demand.

The board of directors as of 27 April 2026 comprises Executive Director Ge Haijiao; Non-executive Directors Zhang Hui, Liu Jin, Cai Zhao, Zhang Yong, Huang Binghua, Liu Hui, Shi Yongyan, Lou Xiaohui, Li Zimin; and Independent Non-executive Directors Jean-Louis Ekra, Giovanni Tria, Liu Xiaolei, Zhang Ran, Ko Margaret, and Woo Chin Wan Raymond.
