Chifeng Gold (06693) has released an updated mineral resource estimate for the SND project at its Sepon gold-copper mine in Laos, prepared in accordance with the JORC Code. The total contained metal from Indicated and Inferred resources now stands at 260 tonnes of gold equivalent, representing an approximately 143% increase compared to the initial resource estimate published on August 7, 2025.

Based on a cut-off grade of 0.40 g/t gold equivalent, the SND project comprises: (1) Indicated resources of 170 million tonnes at 0.55 g/t gold and 0.26% copper, equating to a gold equivalent grade of 0.83 g/t, containing 96 tonnes of gold, 450,000 tonnes of copper, and 140 tonnes of gold equivalent; and (2) Inferred resources of 190 million tonnes at 0.39 g/t gold and 0.19% copper, equating to a gold equivalent grade of 0.59 g/t, containing 76 tonnes of gold, 360,000 tonnes of copper, and approximately 110 tonnes of gold equivalent.

This updated resource estimate significantly enhances the overall scale of the SND project and strengthens its development outlook, confirming it as one of the most important gold-copper discoveries in Southeast Asia in recent years. Mineralisation at the SND project remains open to the southwest and at depth, indicating substantial potential for further resource growth. Surrounding areas within the exploration licence also show excellent potential for discovering additional gold and copper deposits related to intrusive rocks, including porphyry, hydrothermal, and skarn types.

Ongoing metallurgical test work is expected to optimise the processing flowsheet, aiming for higher overall recoveries and/or lower processing costs. The company plans to engage leading international design and consulting firms to initiate a pre-feasibility study and advance the project development plan as soon as possible.
