The acquired shares represent approximately 1.59% of CMBC CAPITAL's total issued share capital as of the date of this announcement. Following the completion of these acquisitions, the group holds a total of 25.7853 million shares in CMBC CAPITAL, representing approximately 2.35% of its issued share capital. After careful consideration of information concerning CMBC CAPITAL, including its financial performance and business prospects, the directors hold a positive view of CMBC CAPITAL's future. The acquired CMBC CAPITAL shares will be classified as financial assets measured at fair value through other comprehensive income in the group's financial statements. The directors believe the acquisitions represent a quality investment opportunity for the group, helping to expand its portfolio of quality assets, and consider the investments attractive with the potential for satisfactory returns. The group intends to make further acquisitions of CMBC CAPITAL shares in the market. Should any such further acquisitions fall under a higher classification of transaction pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Listing Rules, a separate announcement will be made in due course.
