AMCOR PLC-CDI (AMC.AU) saw its stock price surge 5.09% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of its fiscal third-quarter results.
The packaging company reported adjusted earnings of $0.96 per share for the quarter, exceeding the FactSet analyst consensus estimate of $0.95. Net sales also came in strong at $5.91 billion, significantly higher than the $3.33 billion reported a year ago and beating the expected $5.71 billion.
Furthermore, the company announced a quarterly dividend of $0.65 per share, an increase from the $0.6375 per share paid in the same period last year. While Amcor narrowed its full fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings guidance, the new range of $3.98 to $4.03 per share remains above the analyst forecast of $3.96.
