A major milestone was achieved on July 29 in the construction of the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway, a key section of the coastal high-speed rail corridor. The control project, the cable-stayed bridge spanning the Zhangjiagang River, constructed by China Railway No.5 Engineering Group, was precisely closed.

Located at the boundary between Zhangjiagang and Changshu cities in Jiangsu Province, the bridge has a total length of 417.7 meters. It crosses the navigable waters of the Zhangjiagang River and the Zoumahang River, marking the first cable-stayed bridge on the entire Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway to be closed. This achievement lays a solid foundation for subsequent deck system construction and the project's scheduled completion.

Once operational, the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway will connect with multiple railways in Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Zhejiang, further enhancing the regional network layout.
