However, it was revealed that the market business revenue of Liaoning Unicom declined in 2025. What led to this situation?

Data indicate that the growth rate of Liaoning Unicom's market business revenue turned negative in 2025. In fact, as early as 2024, the company's market business revenue had already entered negative growth. This trend aligns with the broader pattern at CHINA UNICOM, where the average growth of market business revenue group-wide has also been negative, though the situation in Liaoning appears slightly more pronounced.

With the disappearance of the demographic dividend, the development of traditional telecommunications services has been significantly impacted. Growth in business revenue has slowed across the industry, and negative growth has become a common phenomenon reflecting general business trends.

That said, it is important to acknowledge that Liaoning Unicom's market business revenue remained substantial in 2025, exceeding 12 billion yuan. This figure far surpasses the revenue of many smaller provincial branches and continues to represent a major contribution to the overall provincial revenue.

Currently, Ji Wei serves as the deputy general manager overseeing market operations at Liaoning Unicom, with Gao Sheng holding the position of market department general manager. Despite their efforts, larger provincial branches like Liaoning Unicom face considerable challenges in expanding market business under increasing growth pressure.
