May, 06 2026 – Prudential plc said it cancelled 488,861 ordinary shares on May, 05 2026, trimming its issued share capital by about 0.0194% to 2,520,118,359 shares.
The insurer also repurchased a further 351,312 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange on May, 05 2026 at prices ranging from GBP 10.63 to GBP 11.055, for a total consideration of roughly 6.5 million Singapore dollars. These shares are earmarked for cancellation.
Including 265,592 shares bought on May, 01 2026 and still awaiting cancellation, Prudential now holds 616,904 repurchased shares pending cancellation. No shares are held in treasury.
Under the buyback mandate approved on May, 14 2025, the company is authorised to repurchase up to 262.7 million shares; 86.9 million shares have been acquired to date, representing about 3.34% of the shares outstanding when the mandate was granted.
Prudential is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or sales of treasury shares until Jun, 04 2026 following the latest repurchase.
