The third Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report released by Adicon Holdings Limited covers the 2025 calendar year and details progress in corporate governance, environmental management and social responsibility across 34 medical laboratories in 23 provinces.
Governance and Innovation • The eight-member board, supported by a three-tier ESG structure, oversaw updates to compliance manuals and a six-level risk framework. • Intellectual-property assets rose to 328 patents and 148 trademarks, with 45 new patents and five new trademarks added during 2025. • Quality initiatives included 96 assurance training sessions with 100% staff completion and expansion to 25 ISO 15189-accredited laboratories.
Environmental Performance and Goals • Eighteen subsidiaries now hold ISO 14001 certification; seven rounds of environmental self-inspection were completed. • Total Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions reached 21,095.69 tonnes of CO₂e, equal to 8.00 tonnes per million renminbi of revenue and 2.77 tonnes per 10,000 samples. • Scope 3 emissions were quantified for the first time at 29,666.62 tonnes of CO₂e. • Comprehensive energy use totalled 6,327.76 tonnes of standard coal, or 2.40 tonnes per million renminbi of revenue. • Long-term target: a 25% reduction in Scope 1+2 emission intensity by 2035 versus the 2025 baseline. • Hazardous-waste generation was 2,033.43 tonnes; non-hazardous waste was 583.20 tonnes, with a 100% compliant disposal rate. • All 56 air-emission and 152 wastewater tests met national and local standards.
Operational and Customer Metrics • The logistics network handled nearly 200,000 samples daily with a 98% on-time delivery rate within 12 hours. • Call-centre satisfaction reached 99.3%, and overall customer satisfaction was 98.01%. • Information-security safeguards delivered zero data or privacy breaches; five entities hold ISO 27001 certification and 27 core systems meet China’s MLPS Class III.
Human Capital • Adicon employed 5,071 full-time staff, 57% of whom were women; training coverage was 100%, averaging 4.85 hours per employee. • Eighteen subsidiaries maintain ISO 45001 certification, and the company recorded zero work-related fatalities for the third consecutive year. • Internship programmes hosted more than 310 students from 114 higher-education institutions.
Community Engagement • Key initiatives included autism support (“Guardian Star”), cervical-cancer awareness campaigns and rare-disease testing support, with total charitable donations of RMB 0.80 million.
Looking ahead, Adicon will focus on meeting its 2035 carbon-intensity reduction goal, expanding smart-testing capabilities and deepening partnerships to strengthen primary-care diagnostics across China.
