Trip.com Group Expands Parental Leave Policy, Boosting Family-Friendly Benefits

On June 18th, Trip.com Group Limited (NASD: TCOM) announced an enhancement to its family-friendly employee benefits policy.

Starting from the early hours of May 1, 2026, eligible full-time male employees in families welcoming a new child will be entitled to no less than 20 days of paid paternity leave.

This initiative is designed to further support working fathers in deeply engaging with family childcare responsibilities and to alleviate the burdens associated with raising a family.

It is reported that this policy upgrade not only significantly increases the baseline leave duration—for instance, extending paternity leave for male employees in some regions from the previous 10 or 15 days to 20 days—but also offers greater flexibility in its usage.

Employees can apply to use this leave as early as five days before the expected due date and as late as within six months after the child's birth.

This enhancement of paternity leave forms a crucial part of Trip.com's comprehensive lifecycle fertility and family support framework.

Currently, Trip.com has established a full-cycle support matrix covering fertility and family needs.

This includes assisted reproduction benefits for female employees, transportation subsidies during pregnancy, a hybrid work policy that eligible employees can apply for on Wednesdays and Fridays, a "Chengzhang Gift Fund" providing eligible "Trip.com second-generation" children with a 50,000 yuan parenting subsidy, as well as a "Childcare Leave" offering three annual paid days off for employees with children aged 18 and under, and supplementary medical insurance for children, among other measures.
