China Auto Interior (00048) has posted its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, revealing a net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB 2.889 million. This represents a 17.68% expansion of the loss when compared to the same period last year, while basic loss per share stood at RMB 0.66 cents.
During the review period, the company's total revenue fell sharply to RMB 32.32 million, marking a substantial decrease of 49.7% year-on-year. The decline in revenue was primarily driven by soaring global crude oil prices, which significantly inflated raw material costs for the group.
Meanwhile, intensifying competition within China's automotive sector has led clients to adopt a more cautious and wait-and-see approach, consequently dampening overall demand for the company's products.
