As of March 13 at 3:00 PM, the number of travelers passing through the Ruili Port on the China-Myanmar border has exceeded one million since the beginning of the year, marking an 8.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Located in Ruili City, Yunnan Province, Ruili Port is the largest land crossing between China and Myanmar. Currently, the port handles an average of over 14,000 travelers daily, indicating a continuous rise in cross-border movement.

Recent measures such as the online pre-filling of entry cards for foreigners and the implementation of a credit-based management system for freight vehicles have streamlined border procedures. Additionally, events like the Ruili-Muse Transnational Marathon and the Munao Zongge Festival have further stimulated cross-border activity, creating a diverse pattern of travel that includes family visits, tourism, and business exchanges.

On March 13, a frequent Myanmar traveler working in Ruili noted that the new online system allows Myanmar nationals to complete entry forms on their mobile phones in just two minutes, significantly improving convenience. To manage the growing passenger flow, border inspection authorities have adopted flexible measures such as dynamic staffing adjustments, additional counters during peak hours, and dedicated lanes for emergencies, substantially reducing average waiting times for travelers.
