Jiaxing Gas (09908) has published its sixth annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, covering the period 1 January – 31 December 2025.
Key disclosures include:
1. Climate & Environmental Performance • Total greenhouse-gas emissions were 2,233 tCO₂e, down 1.0% year-on-year. Scope 1 emissions were 748 tCO₂e; Scope 2 amounted to 1,485 tCO₂e. • Comprehensive energy consumption reached 5.36 million kWh, with an intensity of 611,001 kWh per CNY100 million cubic metres of gas sold. • Water usage totalled 68,853 tonnes, translating to 22.06 tonnes per CNY1 million of revenue. • No major environmental incidents or regulatory penalties were recorded in 2025.
2. Safety & Operational Highlights • RMB22.76 million was invested in production-safety initiatives. • The company identified 184 hazards during inspections and achieved a 100% rectification rate. • Workplace safety training encompassed 34 internal and external sessions, logging 6,480 training hours. • No work-related fatalities occurred; four injuries resulted in 80.5 lost workdays.
3. Supply-Chain & Procurement • The qualified-supplier roster stood at 147 partners—83 in Jiaxing and 64 elsewhere in mainland China—with 100% undergoing ESG performance assessments. • Eighteen suppliers were added and two removed during the year.
4. Workforce & Talent Development • Headcount remained unchanged at 402, while turnover declined to 2.49%. • Employees completed 15,294 hours of training—an average of 38.04 hours each; 100% of staff received performance appraisals. • Workforce gender split: 282 men and 120 women; 49% of employees are aged 40 or above.
5. Governance Structure & Priorities • The Board oversees a three-tier ESG governance model (“Board – ESG Management – ESG Implementation”). • Nine top ESG priorities include corporate governance, gas safety, employee health and safety, integrity, sustainable-development governance, customer protection, employee rights, information security and risk management.
6. Community & Social Contribution • Jiaxing Gas organised 311 community gas-safety events, completed 386,525 residential safety checks (91.23% in-home penetration) and supported 10,741 industrial and commercial inspections. • Volunteer efforts encompassed gas-safety education, elderly-care visits, anti-fraud campaigns and blood-donation drives.
7. Awards & Recognition • 2025 accolades include “Pilot Site for Reform and Innovation” (Zhejiang Gas Association) and “Provincial AAA ‘Contract-Honouring and Creditworthy’ Enterprise”.
Jiaxing Gas states it will continue to align operations with China’s “dual-carbon” goals, expand clean-energy services—such as hydrogen and integrated energy solutions—and deepen digital transformation of its pipeline network to enhance safety and efficiency.
