Central New Energy (01735) advanced nearly 5% in Hong Kong trading on Wednesday, with shares climbing 4.22% to HK$8.77 at the time of writing, on turnover of HK$45.476 million.

The company recently released its interim results for the 2026 fiscal year, posting revenue of approximately HK$6.33 billion for the first half, a 56.3% year-on-year increase. Gross profit reached about HK$130 million, up 50.0% from the prior-year period.

During the period, the company's second growth engine—its AI computing power business—saw revenue surge to HK$1.047 billion, with that segment now contributing close to one-fifth of total revenue. This marks a clear shift in the company's growth narrative, moving from a core focus on photovoltaic manufacturing toward a composite growth model combining new energy, AI, and computing infrastructure.

Notably, at the SNEC 2026 exhibition held in June, Central New Energy (01735) officially unveiled its "Huanxi-AIDC" AI data center-specific photovoltaic module. The product targets the energy challenges of the intelligent computing era, aiming to support an efficient electricity-computing coordination framework.

Meanwhile, leveraging its own clean power generation and energy storage infrastructure, Central New Energy (01735) is taking a forward-looking approach to planning AI computing center construction. The initiative is designed to deliver stable, low-carbon electricity to power-hungry computing facilities.

Chairman Raymond Yu further proposed a bold "Solar New Energy + AI" mega-base concept, planning the development of green facilities that integrate photovoltaic generation, energy storage, and intelligent computing. The vision is to establish a virtuous cycle where green electricity powers computing capacity, and computing capacity in turn supports green electricity adoption.
