CHERY AUTO's stock price surged 5.11% during intraday trading on Thursday, driven by the release of robust annual financial results and positive developments in its global business expansion.
The company reported its first annual results since its Hong Kong listing, with 2025 revenue exceeding 300 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.3%. Annual profit jumped 36.1% to 19.507 billion yuan, significantly outpacing revenue growth and indicating improved operational quality. Key growth drivers included a 72.5% surge in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales and overseas revenue surpassing domestic revenue for the first time, reaching 157.419 billion yuan.
Concurrently, the company's international footprint expanded with its Jetour brand launching operations in Brazil. Furthermore, it was reported that CHERY AUTO successfully outbid a rival to acquire Nissan's manufacturing plant in South Africa, a strategic move to bolster its local production capacity in key overseas markets.
