At the IFA 2026 global launch event held in Berlin on the evening of September 3rd, Xiaomi's electric vehicle division announced its plans to enter the European market, including Germany, in 2027. During the event, the company signed memorandums of understanding with its first eight prominent German automotive dealership groups.

According to company data, since launching its first electric vehicle in early 2024, Xiaomi's EV arm has delivered over 700,000 units cumulatively in China. Building on this momentum, the company intends to bring its vehicle lineup and smart mobility experience to European consumers by 2027.

The signing ceremony at IFA marks a significant initial step for Xiaomi's initiative to establish its retail and service network across Europe. As the planned 2027 launch approaches, the company is set to expand its partner base with additional collaborators throughout the region.

The eight dealership groups involved in the agreement include Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH, and SPT Avior SE & Co. KG. These organizations are recognized as some of the most historically significant and prestigious automotive dealership groups in both Germany and the broader European market, possessing decades of combined experience and deep expertise in operating premium brands.

"Standing here in Berlin, we are excited to open this new chapter together with eight of Germany's most respected automotive dealer partners," said Liguo Yu, Vice President of Xiaomi EV and Head of its International Business Unit. "Xiaomi is committed to long-term investment in Europe. Leveraging our European R&D center in Munich alongside a growing network of sales and service partners, we are dedicated to offering European customers innovative products and a first-class service experience. Localized collaboration is at the heart of this commitment."

In late August of this year, Xiaomi's EV arm officially launched its global website and official international social media channels, establishing early engagement with users worldwide ahead of its planned 2027 entry into the German and broader European markets.
