Alibaba's Taobao and Tmall Group has initiated its recruitment drive for 2027 graduates, starting August 5.
The recruitment targets graduates worldwide who graduated between November 1, 2026, and October 30, 2027, across three categories: AI technology, AI products, and AI design. AI technology roles account for over 90% of the positions, with core roles including AI application development engineer, AI Agent optimization engineer (data/training/evaluation), and AI application algorithm engineer.
Applications are available from today through Alibaba's group campus recruitment website, the Taobao and Tmall Group campus recruitment website, and the Taobao and Tmall Group recruitment WeChat account. Offers are expected to be distributed starting from late October, with work locations in Hangzhou and Beijing.
The Taobao and Tmall Group stated it is increasing investment in AI, creating tailored career development paths for potential newcomers, guiding them from "technology implementers" to "intelligent system architects."
Public reports indicate that the Taobao and Tmall Group has been steadily investing in AI, accelerating the exploration and practical application of AI in e-commerce. Alibaba's AI applications are also deeply integrating with Taobao and Tmall Group's business operations. Against this backdrop, the pace of AI implementation has notably quickened, including the launch of Taobao's "Lobster Edition" workbench tool "Business Manager" and "AI Shop Assistant."
On July 20, at the annual technology event "Hardcore Youth Technology Festival 5.0," co-hosted by Alibaba's ATH business group and the Taobao and Tmall Group, the company unveiled four latest technological achievements under the AIGX technology system: the full-modal real-time Agent for Photo Search, the full-scenario AI creative workbench if Studio, the Coupella Smart Engine, and the Agentic recommendation system DREAM.
At the closing ceremony of the "Hardcore Youth Technology Festival 5.0," a team of four interns won the AI Hackathon business track with their "Aging-Friendly Family Decision Agent" project.
