On Tuesday, Sunrise New Energy (EPOW.US) announced that its subsidiary has been approved for a special funding subsidy of $137,000 from the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Department to establish the "Guizhou New Energy Battery Materials Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent Workstation."

The workstation will be co-built in collaboration with Professor Xu Bin, a Yangtze River Scholar, focusing on research and development of next-generation power battery anode technologies, including fast-charging graphite, silicon-carbon composite materials, and hard carbon materials.

Sunrise New Energy stated that by creating a deeply integrated "industry-academia-research-application" innovation platform, the workstation will accelerate key technology development, optimize paths for commercialization of research results, and assist the company's technological upgrades. Additionally, the project will undertake high-level talent cultivation tasks, contributing to the high-quality development of the regional economy.

CEO Hu Haiping commented that this funding support reflects the government's high recognition of the company's innovation capabilities and investments in next-generation battery materials. The company will work together with academic partners through this talent workstation to accelerate breakthroughs in advanced anode technologies and further serve the global energy transition wave.
