The current year marks the opening of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. The Ministry of Transport has made it clear that it will advance the construction of major corridors spanning regions and river basins, open up the main arteries of economic circulation, and promote balanced regional development. By 2030, the completion rate of the main framework of the national comprehensive multidimensional transportation network will rise to 95%.

At present, the Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge, the world's largest-span bridge currently under construction, has fully entered the superstructure construction phase. From a single cable to a saddle cover, from millimeter-level precision to a world-leading span, the blueprint of the Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge is steadily becoming a reality. In the future, the river crossing time between Zhangjiagang, Jingjiang, and Rugao will be shortened from a 40-minute ferry ride to a 10-minute drive.

From the "world's number one span" over the Yangtze River to overseas projects that cross rivers and seas, China's reach continues to extend. In Southeast Asia and South America, bridges built with the participation of Chinese companies are being completed at an accelerating pace. These new corridors are changing the way local people travel, driving industrial development along their routes, and injecting new vitality into regional economies. Today (the 5th), the Sejingkat Bridge in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak State in Malaysia, began trial operation.
