Following changes in global oil prices, the National Development and Reform Commission has decided to adjust refined oil product prices starting from 24:00 on August 14, 2026.

In accordance with national regulations, the maximum retail price per tonne for 89-octane gasoline (standard product) in Tianjin has been reduced from 9,890 yuan to 9,660 yuan, a drop of 230 yuan. The price for 0-diesel (standard product) per tonne has been lowered from 8,845 yuan to 8,625 yuan, a reduction of 220 yuan. Maximum retail prices for other grades of gasoline and diesel have been adjusted accordingly.

The updated maximum retail prices per liter in Tianjin are as follows: 89-octane gasoline at 7.21 yuan, down 0.17 yuan; 92-octane gasoline at 7.78 yuan, down 0.18 yuan; 95-octane gasoline at 8.22 yuan, down 0.19 yuan; and 0-diesel at 7.45 yuan, down 0.19 yuan. Retail fuel companies can set their own specific prices within the maximum limits.

With this price reduction, private car owners filling a 70-liter tank will save approximately 11 yuan. This adjustment marks the 16th price change of 2026 and the fifth decrease this year. Following this adjustment, the 2026 pricing pattern now stands at "ten increases, five decreases, and one hold." The next window for retail fuel price adjustments will open at 24:00 on August 28, 2026.
