Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced on Friday that it has recruited two experts in artificial intelligence and data engineering to bolster its semiconductor business's AI capabilities.

Professor Han Bo-hyung, a leading figure in deep learning and visual AI from Seoul National University, will take charge of developing AI models specifically tailored for chip research and development. Data engineering specialist Hahn Tai-rin will focus on building AI-compatible data that can be utilized by AI systems.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. plans to expand the use of AI across key semiconductor areas including chip design, process technology, and manufacturing to enhance R&D efficiency and productivity. The global leader in memory chip manufacturing stated it will continue to hire top talent in AI and data engineering, integrating their expertise across the entire organization to strengthen the company's overall AI capabilities.
