Jiangsu Yahong Meditech Co., Ltd. (688176.SH) has officially announced that its self-developed candidate, APL-2501, has achieved first-patient dosing in a Phase I/II clinical trial targeting advanced solid tumors. This milestone marks a key step forward for the company's oncology pipeline.

The APL-2501 molecule, known chemically as BLB101, is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) designed around a proprietary hydrophilic linker and a topoisomerase inhibitor payload. It specifically targets CLDN6/9 antigens, which are expressed across multiple tumor types.

According to the company's statement, APL-2501 holds broad therapeutic potential. It is intended to treat a range of advanced solid tumors, including ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, endometrial cancer, and gastric cancer, among others.
