Regional bank Republic Bancorp (NASDAQ: RBCAA) is preparing to release its second-quarter earnings, following a solid first-quarter performance marked by double-digit growth in core banking net interest income.

Based on the bank's previously announced first-quarter results for the period ending March 31, 2026, net income reached $42.6 million, with diluted earnings per share of $2.18, exceeding market expectations. Core bank net interest income totaled $63.2 million, a 12% year-over-year increase, driven primarily by a 26-basis-point expansion in net interest margin to 3.96%, supported by lower deposit costs and growth in interest-earning assets.

Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the bank reported total assets of approximately $7.25 billion as of the end of the first quarter. It operates 47 banking centers across five states: Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee. Republic Bancorp has announced a second-quarter cash dividend of $0.495 per share on Class A common stock and $0.45 per share on Class B common stock, payable on July 17.

Additionally, it was included in the Forbes 2026 World's Best Banks list for the first time. The bank's stock recently hit an all-time high of $87.37, with a gain of approximately 23.5% over the past year.
