Pony AI Inc.'s stock (PONY-W) soared 5.31% during intraday trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results and an upbeat outlook for the year.
The autonomous-driving company reported a 145% year-over-year increase in revenue to $34.25 million, driven by a 395.4% surge in robotaxi services revenue. Management significantly raised its 2026 targets, now aiming for a global robotaxi fleet of over 3,500 vehicles and robotaxi revenue growth of more than 3.5 times 2025 levels.
Additionally, the company's adjusted loss per share of 9 cents beat analyst expectations of a 25-cent loss, contributing to positive investor sentiment. Pony AI also highlighted its global expansion into nine countries and plans to enter over 20 cities this year.
