According to individuals with knowledge of the matter, Nestle S.A.'s new Chief Executive Officer, Philipp Navratil, is planning a strategic shift intended to refocus the sprawling multinational corporation on four primary product categories.

Insiders revealed that Navratil, who assumed his role last year, is preparing to realign the company's operations around what are being termed the "four pillars": coffee, pet care, nutrition and health, and food and snacks.

Navratil has been committed to sharpening the company's strategic focus and may consolidate or divest various business segments that currently span a wide array of areas, including vitamins, pet food, coffee, confectionery, and bottled water.

The Swiss corporate giant announced in October of last year that it would cut 16,000 positions by 2025—representing approximately 5.8% of its total workforce of 277,000 employees.

Nestle's current organizational structure is divided geographically, covering regions such as the Americas, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa, and is further organized into six categories, which the company refers to as "Strategic Business Units."

The sources indicated that the four new product classifications could lay the groundwork for a formal restructuring of the group.
