ISP Holdings (02340) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, showing a net loss of HK$26.681 million, which represents a 17.9% increase in losses compared to the same period last year.
Despite a substantial 47.6% rise in revenue to HK$91.879 million, the company's gross profit fell from approximately HK$9.6 million to HK$7.7 million during the reporting period. This decline was primarily attributed to intensified market competition, which exerted downward pressure on profit margins. Additionally, the company recorded fewer final payment concessions from subcontractors on certain subcontracted projects compared to the prior period, resulting in reduced cost savings realized from completed projects.
Consequently, the gross profit margin contracted by 7.0 percentage points, dropping from 15.4% in the corresponding period to 8.4% for the reporting period. The basic loss per share stood at 3.5 HK cents.
