A drone manufacturer whose investors include two sons of President Donald Trump has confirmed it is in discussions to sell defense technology to Pakistan. The company, called Powerus, counts Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump among its financial backers.

According to a co-founder, Powerus signed a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan's de facto ruler, Army Chief General Asim Munir, on Wednesday. The co-founder stated that this agreement will pave the way for establishing a joint venture focused on local manufacturing within the country.

A source in Islamabad with knowledge of the matter revealed that the deal also includes provisions for the sale of drones and counter-drone equipment to the Pakistani military. While the company declined to disclose the commercial terms of the transaction, they indicated that the agreement encompasses an initial supply order for drone-related technology.
