Vessel tracking information indicates that the ship Milaha Qatar, which belongs to Qatar's state-owned shipping company, appeared in the Persian Gulf north of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, showing that this liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier recently transited the Strait of Hormuz.

Shipping data reveals that this tanker was last observed near the waters east of Oman on June 21st, after which it ceased transmitting its location signal.

The vessel has now resumed signaling, indicating its next destination is Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG export facility.

Since the outbreak of the Iran conflict in late February, a total of eight unladen LNG carriers associated with Qatar have now entered the Persian Gulf.

Qatar plans to swiftly increase its LNG production once the Strait of Hormuz reopens, aiming to restore the majority of its export capacity within two months.
