There are new updates regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stated on the 11th local time that due to "illegal actions by the United States," the Strait of Hormuz remains closed at present.

Kanaani said that as safe navigation cannot be guaranteed, all vessels must exercise caution.

Earlier that day, US Central Command stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for passage. US Central Command indicated it has established safe shipping lanes for commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, and all ships not violating measures against Iran's blockade can use these lanes.

Regarding the US-Iran negotiations, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on the 11th local time that matters raised about the Iran-US agreement are speculative. So far, Iran has not reached a final conclusion on the agreement.

Kanaani also stated that due to US actions, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has become more insecure.

He further noted that Qatar and Pakistan are actively playing mediating roles, but US actions are affecting the diplomatic process. He said Iran has been clear from the beginning about the progress of the talks, with most of the agreement text completed, but the US side keeps changing its position. Iran has demonstrated it will not compromise on issues it defines as "red lines."

On June 11th local time, former US President Donald Trump, speaking about the US-Iran agreement, said that to his knowledge, Iran's Supreme Leader has agreed to the deal, and all Iranian parties have approved it. He also described it as a very strong, very detailed memorandum of understanding. Trump added that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons.

Trump stated that once the memorandum of understanding is signed, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened immediately. He also said that action regarding Kharg Island is not under consideration.
