CITIC Bank: Head of Headquarters Department Reportedly "Missing"

Deep News

Recently, Zhang Lin, General Manager of the International Business Department at CITIC Bank's headquarters, has lost contact. Her most recent public appearance was on September 13, when Shougang Food Group and CITIC Bank held high-level talks and signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Shougang Park, the venue for the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services. Zhang Lin, as General Manager of CITIC Bank's International Business Department, participated as an important representative of the bank.

It's worth noting that on September 5, leadership from China National Machinery Industry Corporation visited CITIC Bank's headquarters and held discussions with Zhang Lin and her team. (However, reports related to Zhang Lin were quietly deleted the next day.)

Zhang Lin serves as General Manager of CITIC Bank's International Business Department. When she was promoted to this position, it caused considerable controversy within the bank, as she had no prior experience in international business operations.

The previous department head at CITIC Bank to be investigated was Yuan Dongning, Deputy General Manager of the Wealth Management Department. On July 10, 2025, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that Yuan Dongning, Deputy General Manager of the Wealth Management Department at China Citic Bank Corporation Limited, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and was currently under disciplinary review by the bank's disciplinary committee and supervisory investigation by the Liupanshui Municipal Supervisory Commission.
