Keymed Bio-B (02162) rose more than 8% in afternoon trading, climbing 8.95% as of press time to HKD 79.70, with a turnover of HKD 237 million.

Earlier this month, Keymed Bio-B (02162) announced that it had entered into a licensing agreement with multinational pharmaceutical company Aeira for the marketing registration and commercialization of stuperlimab injection in 18 countries and regions across Southeast Asia and Central Asia.

China Post Securities noted that Keymed Bio-B (02162), as a rising star in China's innovative drug overseas expansion, holds strong competitive advantages across multiple innovative drug areas including autoimmune and oncology. The company's core pipeline has already been launched, with high growth in its first year of medical insurance coverage, and its inclusion in the essential drug list is expected to further expand market space. In addition, its innovative pipeline has completed multiple overseas business development deals, poised to tap into the global market. Meanwhile, the pipeline partnered with AZ has achieved positive Phase III results, enhancing the certainty of global commercialization.

It is worth noting that Akeso's (06978) overseas partner Summit Therapeutics has reached a strategic collaboration with AstraZeneca, under which AstraZeneca will make a strategic equity investment of USD 2 billion in Summit and intends to lead the clinical research of ivonescimab combined with AstraZeneca's Sonesitatug Vedotin (Sone-Ve, CLDN18.2 ADC) for multiple gastrointestinal tumors. It is understood that Sone-Ve, formerly known as CMG901, is a Claudin18.2 ADC developed by KYM, a joint venture between Keymed Bio-B and Lepu Biopharma (with the two parties holding 70% and 30% stakes respectively). In February 2023, AstraZeneca acquired its global rights with a upfront payment of USD 63 million and milestone payments exceeding USD 1.1 billion.
