CCB Appoints President Zhang Yi as Concurrent Chief Compliance Officer

On February 27, China Construction Bank (CCB) announced that its board of directors has reviewed and approved a proposal agreeing that President Zhang Yi will concurrently serve as the bank's Chief Compliance Officer. The appointment is effective immediately after the board's approval, with Zhang Yi assuming the additional role starting February 27, 2026.

According to his resume, Zhang Yi has served as Vice Chairman of CCB since July 2024, as an Executive Director of CCB since June 2024, and as President of CCB since May 2024. He has also been serving as Chairman of Sino-German Bausparkasse since January 2025. From March 2023 to May 2024, Zhang Yi was Vice President of Bank of China, and he served as an Executive Director of Bank of China from April to May 2024. He held the position of Vice President of Agricultural Bank of China from November 2021 to March 2023, and served as Chief Financial Officer of CCB from April to September 2021. Previously, Zhang Yi held various roles at CCB, including Deputy General Manager of the Asset and Liability Management Department, Vice President and then President of the Jiangsu Provincial Branch, and General Manager of the Financial Accounting Department. Zhang Yi is a senior accountant, graduating with a bachelor's degree from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 1993 and obtaining a Master of Business Administration from Renmin University of China in 2002.
