Architecture N explores Beijing's most time-traveling hutong next to the CBD - opening a journey through time at Beijing's Hutong Art Museum. At the corners of hutongs and between courtyard gates, how many urban memories flow through the passage of time? Starting from this issue, the "Architecture N" studio launches the "Hutong Time Collection" series, taking you to explore the renewal stories of old hutongs.

Next to Beijing's CBD, there's a hutong with the strongest sense of time travel - West Zongbu Hutong. Here, Yuan Dynasty blue bricks share the same frame with modern skyscrapers, and within the old courtyards stands a newly born "symbiotic art museum" - the "Time-Space Collection Art Museum." In this space, art exhibitions quietly unfold beside residents' old houses, where clotheslines and installation art create interesting contrasts.

The new vitality given to old courtyards extends beyond this. Courtyard No. 86 on West Zongbu Hutong has been renovated and transformed into a bakery. On weekday afternoons, many people seek out this place to enjoy afternoon tea under the old eaves, experiencing the relaxed atmosphere within the hutong.
