KB Laminates' stock soared 5.01% intraday on Friday, staging a technical recovery following a sharp decline in the previous trading session.

The rebound comes after the stock experienced a near-15% collapse in the prior session, which was triggered by reports that Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are negotiating with upstream substrate manufacturers to lower supply prices in the second half of the year.

Additional selling pressure in the previous session came from three company directors who simultaneously reduced holdings totaling approximately 896,000 shares, involving proceeds of around HK$89.85 million. Despite today's rebound, sector sentiment remains mixed with some peers still showing declines.
