Singapore Airlines (SIA) shares plummeted 7.24% in early trading on Monday, reflecting a sharp decline for the carrier.

The sell-off in Asian airline stocks followed large-scale strikes by the U.S. and Israel on Iran over the weekend, which has disrupted global air travel. The conflict has forced the closure of key Middle Eastern hubs including Dubai and Doha, stranding tens of thousands of passengers and disrupting thousands of flights worldwide. Concurrently, oil prices surged more than 8% to their highest level in months, significantly increasing operating costs for airlines.
