On January 21, a press conference was held to announce the performance of Beijing's economy in 2025, revealing the city's annual economic report card. According to data released by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, the city's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 5,207.34 billion yuan in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.4% calculated at constant prices.

A breakdown by industry shows that the primary industry achieved an added value of 10.92 billion yuan, declining by 0.7%; the secondary industry recorded an added value of 718.74 billion yuan, growing by 3.5%; while the tertiary industry posted an added value of 4,477.69 billion yuan, rising by 5.8%.

In 2025, the per capita disposable income of the city's residents reached 89,090 yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 4.3%, or 4.4% after adjusting for inflation. Specifically, wage income grew by 4.9%, net business income increased by 3.2%, net property income rose by 0.7%, and net transfer income climbed by 4.9%.

The per capita disposable income for urban residents stood at 96,292 yuan, up 4.1% year-on-year, while the figure for rural residents reached 42,012 yuan, reflecting a more substantial growth of 5.4% compared to the previous year.
