Agencia Commercial Spirits Limited (AGCC) experienced a significant surge of 5% during intraday trading on Wednesday, marking a volatile debut on the Nasdaq following its initial public offering (IPO). The Taiwan-based whisky importer and distributor priced its IPO at $4 per share, raising $7 million in gross proceeds.

The company offered 1.75 million Class A ordinary shares to the public, with an additional 45-day option for underwriters to purchase up to 262,500 more shares at the offering price. Trading under the ticker AGCC, the stock opened at $3.82 and demonstrated considerable volatility throughout the session, ranging between $3.72 and $4.36 before settling at the 5% gain.

Agencia Commercial Spirits plans to use the IPO proceeds to expand its supplier network, increase bottling and packaging capacity for proprietary brand whisky products, upgrade warehouse facilities, and strengthen inventory capacity. As a holding company registered in the Cayman Islands with operations in Taiwan, AGCC specializes in the bottling, distribution, and sales of imported whiskey, offering various services including bottled whiskey, cask whiskey, and brand licensing bottling services.
